Wedding season officially kicked off last week in the most incredible way with Rennie and Frank’s stunning celebration. Their day was split between the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Dedham and the picturesque Stoke by Nayland Resort, creating the perfect combination of traditional charm and breathtaking countryside scenery.
 

Surrounded by their closest friends and family — and with the sun making a very welcome appearance — their wedding had everything you could wish for to start the season in style.

A Beautiful Ceremony at St Mary’s Church, Dedham
 

Rennie and Frank chose the historic St Mary’s Church in Dedham for their ceremony, a stunning setting full of character and tradition. The church sits in the heart of one of Essex’s most picturesque villages, making it an ideal location for timeless wedding photographs.
 

Capturing the moments as Rennie walked down the aisle and the emotion on Frank’s face is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. These authentic, unscripted moments are what create unique wedding photos that couples will treasure forever.
 

After the ceremony, guests gathered outside the church while we captured relaxed confetti shots and natural group photos before heading to the reception venue.

The celebrations continued at the beautiful Stoke by Nayland Resort, one of the most popular wedding venues in Essex. With sweeping countryside views, elegant reception spaces, and stunning outdoor areas, it provides the perfect backdrop for creative wedding photography.
 

The sunshine made a perfect appearance just in time for the drinks reception, allowing guests to relax outside while we captured natural, candid moments of laughter, hugs, and celebration.

One of my main goals as a creative wedding photographer in Essex is to capture moments that feel natural, relaxed, and true to each couple.
 

With Rennie and Frank, we took advantage of the beautiful surroundings at Stoke by Nayland to create some relaxed portraits as the sun began to soften later in the day. These quieter moments away from the crowd often produce some of the most unique wedding photos because couples can simply enjoy being together.
 

My approach is always to guide couples gently rather than overly pose them, allowing genuine interactions and emotions to shine through.
