Well yesterday I captured a fantastic wedding in the village of Tollesbury, Essex. There was lotss of smiles and laughter throughout the day, with the bride and groom having all their friends and family around them, celebrating their special day!
The story of my involvement goes back to February when I received an email from Helena asking for my availability for the 25th of July. Like all emails I receive from couples, I like to get them on the phone to discuss things and arrange a meeting. Once the call started Helena explained that she lived in Ireland and was coming back to Essex to marry Charles. We then arranged a date to meet at the venue, which I was told was a barn. In the back of my mind I thought this was a converted barn....how wrong was I! It was a barn. When Helena and Charles showed me their vision of the barn on our first visit, nothing quite prepared me for the transformation! It was amazing. Helena and Charles along with family and friends worked so hard to make this a day to remember.
The day started at Five Lakes in Tolleshunt Knights, Essex. Helena and her bridesmaids were already in full flow getting their hair and make-up done. This was a very relaxed time, and there didn't appear to be any stress in the room, even though it was still raining outside.
The ceremony took place at St. Marys Church in Tollesbury, Essex at 1pm! The church was packed with family and friends (and a few spectators). The weather then drastically changed and the sun was shining!
After, there was a short walk to the barn, where everyone had time to relax, talk, drink and have some lovely food!
Before the evening entertainment started, with the fantastic band, The Mementos, the father of the bride, the groom and the best men (yes there was two!) gave their speeches. These were heart felt and often hilarious! Yes Warren....(or doctor) you were hilarious!
The entire day was a pleasure to capture, and I wish Helena and Charles all the best for the future.
